![]() ![]() Hopefully it never gets as bad as PGR.ģ years late edit: Burnout 3 now runs pretty good in PCSX2! That being said, I'm Haven't played through any OG Xbox games on my 360, but Burnout 3 should run fine (I have tried it). The PS3 may have gained triggers, but they aren't useful for Burnout. If you're playing the game using Backwards Compatibility on a PS3 with an Emotion Engine on the motherboard or Xbox 360, go for the Xbox release. ![]() If you're looking to play on original hardware but don't own any yet, the PS2 is probably cheaper. Burnout does not actually use the Dualshock's analog feature on the face buttons despite requiring a Dualshock 2 (it will not recognize a Dualshock 1). Keep in mind that for Burnout, 1080i doesn't really enhance the game over the standard supported 480p, and it should only really be used when 480p results in high latency. +Softmodded PS2's can use GSM to force 480p automatically, or push the game through 1080i if your TV's internal scaler results in poor latency for EHD feeds (480p). Maybe a little more of a plus I guess if you have solder skills but I know that's not a universal skill. Xbox Component cables aren't nearly as easy to find as PS2 compatible ones, but you can buy a set of composite cables and solder your own. +I personally found the Xbox release to feel better. ![]() +Xbox version has support for custom soundtrack, in case you ever get bored of the original (I don't). ![]()
